Various techniques are available. The contaminants present, wastewater volume and desired result determine the appropriate approach.
Physical wastewater treatment
The simplest method uses mechanical means such as screens and filters, or density differences, as in oil and water separation. Cascades can improve solids settling.
Physical treatment alone is insufficient for many streams, such as dispersions and emulsions, which may require physicochemical treatment. This is Chemtrade International’s main speciality.
Biological wastewater treatment
Microorganisms remove chemical and organic pollutants from water. An optimal living environment is essential. Living bacteria perform the pollutant removal.
Distillation and vacuum evaporation
The contaminated liquid is evaporated, leaving a solid residue. We offer FIDI GmbH systems: the RS series recycles solvent cleaning and degreasing products, while the DT series treats contaminated rinsing water. Both use distillation and evaporation.
